The Kancamagus has many water features, the most dramatic of which is the Swift River. The Swift River runs along the side of the Kancamagus Highway in many places. The Swift River is a beautiful river and can be very calm, great for trout fishing, meditating, and swimming when the water current is gentle. The Swift River can also be a very dangerous, and treacherous place. Always use caution when in or around the Swift River.
