Swimming holes and places to swim along the Kancamagus Highway in the White Mountain National Forest is somewhat limited due to safety concerns. The Swift River can be a great place to swim on a hot day just stay away from the river when the current is dangerous or at high water levels.
The best place to swim along the Kancamagus Scenic Byway is at Lower Falls. Swimming is allowed there at the time of the post. Swimming is not allowed at Rocky Gorge for obvious safety concerns at the Gorge.
