Champney Falls are a series of cascades about 70′ long. The falls are spectacular during high water but slow to a trickle during dry weather. The best time to view the falls is after a decent rainfall or in the late spring when the melting snow and ice contributes to Champney Falls natural beauty.
Walking time to the falls and back to the parking area is about 2.5 hours.
Champney falls are named after Benjamin Champney, a noted White Mountain artist (1817-1907).
